Omsk “Avangard” won a resounding victory over Togliatti’s “Lada” at home on March 3 in the second game of the round of 16 of the Gagarin Cup playoffs of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
In this match Avangard had the initiative of the game, but after the second half the score was 2:0 in favor of the Togliatti team. In the third half of the match, the Omsk hockey players managed to turn their lead into two goals.
In the first overtime, the Siberians crushed the opponent in their zone and scored the winning goal.
