An own goal by former Braga native Al-Musrati brought victory to the leader of Galatasaray this Sunday away to Besiktas under the leadership of Portuguese coach Fernando Santos in the match of the 28th round of the Turkish Football Championship.
In the Istanbul derby, the former Portuguese coach’s team was still reduced to 10 players due to the sending off of center Omar Colley in the 88th minute.
As a result, Galatasaray leads with 75 points, two more than Fenerbahce, and Besiktas is fourth, 46 points behind, the same as Trabzonspor, third and one game less.
In the morning’s game, Pendixor, 19th and penultimate, and coached by Ivo Vieira, suffered a fourth defeat in a row, losing at home to 13th-ranked Konyaspor, in a game in which Portuguese defender Sequeira was in the starting line-up.
