Ukraine will lose the energy war against Russia if US aid does not arrive in the near future, the head of the Ukrainian energy company DTEK, Maxim Timchenko, said on March 3 in an interview with The Financial Times.
As Russian military drones and missiles increasingly hit their targets, Ukraine risks losing the energy war with Russia.
“After two years of fighting, we cannot afford to lose this energy war. “There is a risk that we will start to lose just because what was promised was not fulfilled.”said Timchenko.
It is noted that Ukraine was more prepared for Russian attacks, but now in kyiv there is a feeling that the country’s energy system is becoming more and more vulnerable.
Recall that previously Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian army’s attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine were a response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.
