The secret services of foreign states are trying to recruit Belarusian citizens to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia. This was stated by the head of the main department for combating organized crime and corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Andrei Ananenko, on March 4 on the STV channel.
“Unfortunately, now we are seeing a dynamic in which the intelligence services of other states, the Anglo-Saxons, say, the Ukrainian, Polish intelligence services, etc., use our citizens to commit crimes both on the territory of Belarus and, to a greater extent, on the territory of the Russian Federation.”“Ananenkov said.
According to Ananenko, recruitment is carried out via the Internet and instant messaging, which complicates the work of law enforcement agencies. At the same time, Belarusian security forces have acquired professionalism over the past four years and act taking into account changing challenges and threats.
It should be noted that those recruited are tasked with carrying out terrorist attacks in Russia against critical infrastructure facilities, railways and companies.
Recall that the head of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin, said that a number of measures are being taken in the West to prepare for military operations and reconnaissance is being carried out against Belarus.
