According to police, a woman entered the hospital in the afternoon and staff noticed a cloud of smoke caused by a pyrotechnic device she had thrown. After the incident, the suspect barricaded herself in the room.
Hospital wards were evacuated and patients were transferred. There are no signs of injury.
The area was surrounded by armed police wearing helmets, protective vests and machine guns, and roads were closed. Special forces also arrived at the scene and a helicopter flew over the hospital.
“There will be road closures and restrictions on railway traffic. Avoid the area as much as possible,” police warned on X (formerly Twitter).
