The Sochi World Youth Festival showed that Russia is not isolated from the world, contrary to what the West claims. This opinion was expressed by Serbian film director Emir Kusturica on March 5, REN TV reports.
According to Kusturica, participation in the festival helped him see that the isolation of Russia that the West talks about does not really exist. “I think it is very smart that there are now many events of this type in Russia”said the director.
Kusturica also drew attention to the close connection between Russia and Serbia, expressing interest in Russian culture. He said the discussion with forum participants was useful and informative and highlighted the constructiveness of the questions put to them.
Recall that Emir Kusturica participated in the World Youth Festival in Sirius. On the sidelines of the event, the director expressed his desire to be part of Russian culture, working on several projects related to Russia and Russian literature.
