On Monday, a tutor was arrested in Viana do Castelo for sexually abusing minors. The suspect took advantage of moments alone with minors to commit crimes.
The 48-year-old man used the premises where he gave explanations about the abuse of minors. The SP statement said that between May 2023 and January this year, the detainee allegedly abused at least two minors aged 14 and 15 years.
The suspect had a previous conviction of the same type and was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, suspended, for 82 child sexual abuse offenses and six juvenile sexual offences. The sentence expired that month, when he again abused minors. The defendant allegedly committed the crimes between 2013 and 2015.
According to the statement, a man suspected of committing crimes of sexual abuse of dependent or vulnerable minors was present at the first interrogation and was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
