With leaders Sporting and second-place Benfica only playing on Sunday, the Dragons are four points behind the Lions, who still have another game to play, and three behind the Eagles thanks to goals from Nico Gonzalez ( seven minutes), Galeno (59) and Pepe (79).
Portimonense, going through its sixth game in a row without a league win, are in 14th place with 23 points, five above the direct relegation zone and one above 16th place to qualify for the knockout stages.
