Eight counterattacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdeevsky direction were repelled by Russian soldiers, the head of the press service of the Center group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti on March 9.
According to the press center, “During the day, the group’s units repelled eight counterattacks by the 23rd and 47th mechanized brigades.”and “78th Air Assault Regiment” and _”59th motorized infantry and 24th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
The enemy counterattacked in the areas of Novobakhmutovka, Semenovka, Berdychi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Vodyanoye, Pervomaisky and Dzerzhinsky. The personnel losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amount to about 400 people. In addition, the fighters of the Center group destroyed 3 infantry fighting vehicles, 8 vehicles, a drone control center, two howitzers, a 122-mm “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery installation and a 120-mm mortar.
