Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said this Monday that Donald Trump “will not give Ukraine a cent” if he is elected US president in November, confirming the worst fears of Kyiv and its Western allies.
“Trump will not give Ukraine a penny. And thus the war will end,” said Orban, who met with Trump in Florida last Friday. “It is obvious that Ukraine cannot stand alone. If the Americans do not provide money and weapons together with the Europeans, the war will end. And if the Americans do not give money, the Europeans will not be able to finance the war alone. … And so, the war ends,” – The Hungarian Prime Minister told his country’s television channel.
Recall that Trump promised to “end the war in 24 hours” if he is re-elected president. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov yesterday declined to comment on Orban’s statements but said Moscow had “taken note.”
