The mutilated body was found in a plastic bag early Tuesday morning on Lisbon’s Rua Maestro Antonio Taborda by city council workers while collecting rubbish.
The parts found below the waist belong to a man, police determined. CM. The body was left next to a garbage container, in a bag covered with a blanket.
Police authorities have collected CCTV images provided by residents and business owners in the area to analyze and discover new evidence.
The alarm was raised around 2 am.
Judicial police were called to the scene.
The remains were transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Lisbon.
