Inés Souza Real, PAN spokesman, drew the “necessary lines” between the party and the Democratic Alliance.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the deputy considered that it was “very difficult” for the AD to get closer to the values of the PAN.
“I think it’s very difficult for AD to get close to PAN values. There are lines that you can’t get away from,” he said.
Ines Sousa Real must ensure that the achievements achieved in recent years are not repeated.
“The PAN will never give up its values,” said the PAN’s sole MP, saying she was unable to facilitate a budget that was not in line with the party’s values.
The deputy was the first party leader to be heard by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in Belém.
As the President announced on Monday, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will also receive on Wednesday the Livre, on Thursday the CDU coalition (PCP/PEV), on Friday BE and on Saturday the Liberal Initiative.
Next week will be the time to hear Chegu on the 18th, the PS on the 19th and the Democratic Alliance (AD) on the 20th, a coalition that brings together the PSD, SDS-PP and PPM.
The goal of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa is to listen to all the parties and coalitions that will be represented in the Assembly of the Republic, taking into account the preliminary results announced by the Ministry of Internal Administration and without prejudice to the circles that are yet to be determined.
The results of the two emigration circles – from Europe and Outside Europe – each of which elects two deputies, which should happen on the same day when the AD will be heard, have yet to be calculated.
