Legionella closes the swimming pool at the Military Academy

This was reported by an official source in the army. CM that the situation was discovered “after periodic analyses.” A military source told our newspaper that last week, “cases of students, staff and faculty with symptoms came to light.”

The army denies this, stating that “thermal and chemical shock was carried out at the Military Academy, and a group from the Military Veterinary Medical Unit was involved in investigating the causes.” No clinical cases were identified and the army only ordered the suspension of use of the swimming pool at the Rua Gomes Freire complex.
