Two men, aged 38 and 46, were arrested by the Porto judicial police for committing at least 10 robberies with firearms in supermarkets, most of them in Minipreço, and office supply stores in Porto and Gondomar. The crimes were committed within the last four months. The cost of robberies can reach 3 thousand euros.
The method used by the duo has always been the same. One remained in the car to watch and ensure escape. Another entered a commercial premises with a surgical mask on his face and pretended to pay for goods. When the employee opened the register, the robbery ended at gunpoint. They fled with the money – the boxes usually contained no more than 300 euros. The duo has no previous records. One robber was taken into custody.
