
Turnout on the second day of the Russian presidential elections in Chechnya was 90.78%, the press service of the Electoral Commission of the Republic reported on its Telegram channel on March 16.
According to the Chechen Electoral Commission, turnout on the second day of the Russian presidential elections was 90.78%.
“At 20:00 on March 16, the polling stations of the Chechen Republic ended the second day of voting for the election of the President of the Russian Federation. According to the results of the second day of voting, voter turnout in the Chechen Republic was 90.78%. 741,575 voters participated in the vote.”says a message on the Telegram channel of the republic’s electoral commission.
It should be noted that 514 polling stations were opened on the territory of the republic, including 4 temporary ones, which were formed on the territory of military units. More than 4.6 thousand voting members of the district electoral commissions participate in the organization of the vote.
Let us remember that the Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. The vote lasts three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are competing for the position of President of Russia: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
