Polish doctors performed a serious operation to remove a malignant tumor on the former Minister of Justice of Poland, leader of the Sovereign Poland party, Zbigniew Ziobropolsky, reported on March 16 on the social network X (Twitter).
The politician, who underwent surgery to remove most of the esophagus and part of the stomach, attached a photo from the hospital, wrote under what circumstances he found out about the disease and what his current state of health is. “I still have difficulty speaking and breathing. But I’m alive. It’s the most important thing!”he wrote.
It should be noted that Zbigniew Ziobro was in the past one of the key figures of the previous government of the conservatives of the United Parties coalition as part of their “Sovereign Poland” party. He actively opposed the judicial reform that the European Union was imposing and harshly condemned the actions of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in January 2023, who made concessions on this issue.
In November 2023, after the parliamentary elections, he announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer. After this, Marcin Warhol became interim leader of the party.
