The bill, which provides for a reduction in the administrative burden on citizens and businesses in the tax field, will be examined by the Government of the Russian Federation, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, reported at a meeting held on March 15, the department’s press service reports.
“Today we have on our agenda a large bill of amendments to tax legislation. Following instructions from the President, we continue to reduce the regulatory and administrative burden for citizens and businesses.”– he said.
For example, the government proposes to establish a centralized transfer of information to the tax service, which will automatically provide families with numerous property tax benefits. This will save parents from having to contact the tax service with relevant requests.
It is also planned to automatically apply preferential taxation on the interest of “long bank deposits”. The tax-free limit on income from such deposits will be taken into account not at the end of the term, but annually.
The proposed modifications plan to alleviate the administrative burden for companies. Therefore, companies that did not operate during the reporting period will no longer have to submit simplified zero reports. The range of companies that will have the possibility of passing under tax control will also be expanded. According to Mishustin, this will ensure “From additional controls, the risk of errors and additional charges”.
“We hope that these and other measures in the bill will support citizens and businesses”the head of Government stressed in his speech.
