One person has died in the Kuban region due to a fire caused by one of these drones.
During the early hours of this Sunday, the Russian Army’s air defense forces intercepted a total of 35 Ukrainian drones in eight different provinces, including Moscow, reporting the death of a person in a fire resulting from the attack by Ukrainian troops in the Kuban region.
“During the night and morning of March 17, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation have been stopped,” the Ministry of Defense wrote. Russian this Sunday morning on his Telegram channel.
Defense has clarified that “air defense means have intercepted and destroyed 35 unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of Moscow (4), Belgorod (3), Kaluga (2), Oryol (1), Rostov (1), Yaroslavl ( 4), Kursk (3) and Krasnodar (17). As a consequence, the operations of the Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports have been significantly reduced for a few hours while aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services took all necessary measures to ensure flight safety as the top priority.”
The three Moscow facilities returned to operating at full capacity hours later.
This wave of attacks comes after the governor of the Russian region of Bryansk will denounce late Saturday the launch of a ukrainian ballistic missilethe same day that the Russian Foreign Ministry had reported the death of 15 people as a result of Ukraine’s aggressions in the last two days.
