The Moskovsky District Court of St. Petersburg decided to detain a woman accused of obstructing the exercise of the right to vote or the work of election commissions, the United Press Service of the St. Petersburg Courts reported on May 17.
The investigating authorities, with a request for arrest, presented material to the court indicating that the accused, no later than 2:47 p.m. on March 15, 2024, agreed with other people to set fire to the entrance to polling stations No. 1395. , 1396, located in the building 40 Varshavskaya Street in St. Petersburg, to disrupt the work of polling stations and electoral commissions during the ongoing presidential elections in Russia.

The court granted the investigation request and arrested the woman until May 14.
