Workers in the energy sector of the region work on election days in a special mode, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Dagestan reported on Telegram on March 17.
A Headquarters meeting was held in the region to ensure safe power supply to electoral places, with the participation of the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic, Yuri Gamzatov, the deputy minister of energy of the region, Rajab Nabiyev, and the heads of energy companies. The participants stressed that energy engineers work in a special regime and so far no emergency situations have been recorded.
As the participants said, all buildings where 1,861 electoral commissions are located were previously provided with backup power sources. The operation of energy facilities during voting days is supported by 173 teams of specialists from energy companies, 678 people and about 300 units of special equipment.
We remind you that power outages are a common problem in Dagestan. In 2024, the head of the republic promised to seriously commit to modernizing power grids, for which the region was allocated 1.2 billion rubles.
