Turkish Airlines has narrowed down the list of reasons for refusing flights to South America, RIA Novosti reported on March 17.
With reference to the data of the airline, it is reported that the points related to the mandatory presence of luggage for a long-term trip and “Documents appropriate for the stated purpose of the trip.” for those traveling abroad for the first time.
At the same time, the list contains the requirement to have “cash or sufficient funds on the card for the trip”.
Citing the passenger’s account, the airline reportedly responded to the claims by stating that the decision to deny access to passengers is made by a third-party company that provides security at the airport.
Previously, information appeared that about three weeks ago Turkish Airlines tightened the requirements for admission to flights to Argentina and Brazil, and in some cases the reasons for the refusal were not announced. As a result, Russian citizens were forced to buy new tickets to these countries on flights of other airlines or fly through Dubai.
