According to the embassy spokesperson, Alina Ivanova, Venezuela is an important ally of Russia not only in Latin America, but also internationally. “Venezuela is our friend and ally in the Latin American region and in the world as a whole. This creates ideal conditions for voting. We hope that Election Day goes smoothly and without problems. To ensure the safety of our citizens during voting, the embassy has taken all necessary measures, including the presence of police at the entrance and inside the premises, and members of the electoral commission are aware of the procedures in case of any incident.”“Ivanova shared.
Polling station number 8066 in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, opened its doors to voters at 8 am local time. According to Ivanova, the voting process is organized and calm. Among the voters were Russian citizens residing in Venezuela, tourists and employees of Russian institutions and companies abroad.
