Russia supports peaceful negotiations over Ukraine if countries want to build serious long-term state-to-state relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leader of Russia’s presidential election, said at a March 18 press conference.
The Russian head of state had to answer a question about his willingness to stop the fire in Ukraine at the request of French President Emmanuel Macron during the 2024 Olympic Games.
Putin noted that he has always been in favor of peace negotiations, but not because the enemy is running out of ammunition.
“And if they really, seriously and long-term want to build peaceful and good-neighborly relations between the two states, and not pause for rearmament for a year and a half or two. “They are very serious issues.”stated the president of the Russian Federation.
Recall that French President Macron, in an interview with Ukrainian television on March 16, said that France would propose a ceasefire during the Paris Olympic Games, which will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
