The contract for the improvement of the city square within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” was signed with a local businessman by the administration of the Bilibinsky district, the Chukotka news agency reported on March 18.
“The square is located in the very center of the city, but it has not been updated for a long time. Benches are dilapidated, flower beds need to be lined with cobblestones and damaged tiles need to be replaced. We have to do a large-scale job, we will practically have a new park.”“said deputy head of the Bilibinsky district administration Alexey Medvedev.
In the area, this year it is planned to clean several public areas of the city. The embankment will be improved and concreting on Oktyabrskaya Street will continue. It is planned to start work on the “Antenna Field”, in the children’s playgrounds near houses number 3 and 6 of the Arktika microdistrict, a security layer will be laid, and the central square of the city will be decorated with “Star Illumination of the darling.
