The first incident occurred on a river in the Magaña da Costa region, in which three fishermen died and one survived when the canoe they were traveling in sank due to bad weather, a spokesman for the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) said. ) in Zambezia, Miguel Cayetano.
“They were fishing when the incident occurred,” the spokesman added.
Another accident occurred in the Quelimane area of the city of Zalala, where a man died.
The victims ranged in age from 17 to 48, Miguel Cayetano said.
