UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi met with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and congratulated both on assuming their positions, radio reported state of Pakistan on March 18.
During the meeting, the President called for greater cooperation in the aviation industry for the benefit of the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE, including the start of commercial flights of Airbus A380 aircraft.
He said Emirati companies should be encouraged to invest in the Pakistan Stock Exchange to bring innovative ideas to the Pakistani economy.
President Zardari said there is a need for Pakistan and the UAE to cooperate in the agricultural sector by sharing new technologies as food security is a growing concern in the region due to climate change.
Ishaq Dar appreciated the call of the UAE Foreign Minister and reiterated his desire to work closely with the UAE leadership during his tenure.
