The Estonian authorities declared one of the employees of the Russian diplomatic mission in Estonia “persona non grata,” the press service of the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reported on March 19.
The charge d’affaires of the Russian embassy was summoned to the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and told that the country would not “tolerate Russia’s actions against our independence.” According to the department, the “undesirable person” has diplomatic status.
The department indicated that hybrid operations allegedly coordinated by Russian special services against the security of the republic must be stopped.
Recall that previously the Moldovan authorities announced the expulsion of the Russian ambassador from the country. According to the department, the reason for the expulsion of the employee from the diplomatic mission was the organization of Russian presidential elections in the territory of Transnistria, despite the opinion of the Moldovan authorities.
