Defense Minister and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto’s plan to build hundreds of medical schools in Indonesia has received support from several parties, SINDOnews wrote on March 19.
“I hope that presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto’s plan to create hundreds of medical schools can be realized through the participation of professional organizations fighting for the health of Indonesian citizens.”said Dr. Debi Winski, founder of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PDSI).
Furthermore, the role of women must be strengthened and budget allocations increased for the development of healthcare, medical education and public welfare.
“It is necessary to work seriously on health tourism to attract more foreign exchange to the country.”– she said.
As the only female founder of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PDSI), Debi is one of the leading figures in the fight to transform healthcare in the country.
“It’s time for change if this nation is to move forward.”– she said.
