Regional rhythmic gymnastics competitions were held in the Nord Arena sports development center within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” among gymnasts aged nine and older in seven age categories, the online publication DVINANEWS reports on March, 19.
In addition to the athletes from Arkhangelsk, representatives from Severodvinsk, Mirny and Novodvinsk took part, in total 178 people. In the individual program they showed exercises without apparatus, with hoop, ball, clubs and tape, and in groups, with hoops and clubs.
“Based on the results of the tournament, the coaching staff formed a team for the Arkhangelsk region, which will represent our region at all-Russian competitions. The next departures will take place at the end of March in Ramenskoye, Moscow region, and at the beginning of April in St. Petersburg.””said Evgenia Reshetnik, president of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of the Arkhangelsk region.
Let us remember that “Sport is the norm of life” is one of the five federal projects of the national project “Demography”, which began to be implemented in 2019. It is responsible for the country’s sports infrastructure, for training personnel for the industry, for organizing competitions and increasing the number of people who practice sports regularly.
