Taiwan’s Central Bank carried out personnel games in case of hostilities, its director Yang Chin-long said on March 19, Taiwan Radio International reported.
The games were carried out jointly by the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Supervision Commission. They simulated departmental reactions to various military situations. In particular, scenarios of a missile attack on the island and a military blockade were represented.
Recall that as the crisis in Ukraine worsened, Taiwanese authorities began to talk about a likely imminent Chinese attack on Taiwan. Special task forces were created to monitor the situation and warn in time about preparing for an invasion if it occurred. The Taiwanese military conducts exercises and implements training programs for reservists.
The Taiwanese military’s computer headquarters games as part of the annual Han Kuang exercise in 2024 will last eight days and seven nights instead of the usual five days and four nights, the military said. They will focus on the fight in the so-called “gray zone”, where China has begun to pressure the island.
