Elections in Kuban
From March 15 to 17, elections for the President of the Russian Federation were held in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as throughout Russia. Total electoral participation in the region was 90.6%, reported the regional electoral commission.
According to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, the current President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, won the elections in the Krasnodar Territory with a result of 92.59% of the votes. The second place was taken by the candidate of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kharitonov (3.42%). He is followed by Leonid Slutsky of the LDPR (2.01%) and Vladislav Davankov of “New People” (1.38%).
These elections were not without incidents. Thus, a 13-year-old girl caused an intentional fire at a polling station in Krasnodar. She brought matches and firewood to the station, with which she set fire to the tablecloth on the commission’s table. The ballots were not damaged by the fire and polling station staff took care of the fire themselves. The schoolgirl decided to set herself on fire after reading information about such actions on the Internet. The girl was not registered with the police.
In Sochi, a woman poured greenery into an urn. She was detained by the police. The Krasnodar region prosecutor’s office took responsibility for investigating the incident:
“The investigation is under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office. “The issue of applying a preventive measure to the suspect is currently being decided.””, clarified the press service.
The press service of the regional electoral commission reported that residents of the region received calls asking them to destroy ballots, ballot boxes and voting booths.

Putin spoke about options for the construction of the Dzhubga-Sochi highway

“Either do it in Dzhubga, or first do it from Dzhubga to Sochi”said the head of state.
The new road is expected to help reduce travel time from the M-4 Don highway to Sochi four times.
The problem of determining the final cost of the project also arose. “As you know, the Ministry of Finance is always, in a good way, a very stingy person; when it comes to spending, everything is very conservative.”Putin said. He quoted the Minister of Finance, who expressed the opinion that those who have never traveled on it today are against the construction of this road.

However, for now the airport remains closed following the start of a special military operation on February 24, 2022.
Sochi and Novorossiysk will be connected by sea taxi
In 2024, a sea taxi will connect Sochi with Novorossiysk, said Ilya Shakalov, general director of the Krasnodar Territory Development Fund.
The alternative sea taxi project involves the launching of two catamarans designed to accommodate 340 passengers.
The catamarans are supposed to sail on sea and inland waterways. The vessels are scheduled to operate from February to November.
The new passenger line will significantly relieve congestion on the route and reduce the cost of travel by half. Travel time will be about four hours. In the future, it is planned that tourists will be able to reach Abkhazia and Georgia along this sea line.
A tram train can be launched to Novaya Anapa
The developers of the master plan of the complex are discussing the possibility of launching a high-speed tram to the Novaya Anapa complex from the airport and the railway station, said Sergei Sukhanov, general director of the Turizm.RF corporation.
