Belgian footballer Thibaut Courtois, sidelined for more than seven months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, suffered a torn meniscus in his other knee on Tuesday, Real Madrid said.
The club from the Spanish capital did not specify how long the 31-year-old goalkeeper, who has just returned to collective training, will be out of action, but the Spanish press reports that Courtois will undergo surgery and will only be able to return to competition next season.
