Announcement of purchase and installation of a robotic guide for almost 4 million rubles. published on the Friedland Gate Museum’s government procurement website, the online publication New Kaliningrad reported on March 19.
The purchase notice was published on March 18. The initial price of the contract is 3,996,950 rubles, applications are accepted until March 25. As the publication points out, the guide robot must be equipped with a camera to detect and recognize faces (at least 1000). It will have to generate answers to general questions and maintain a conversation, the robot must be able to recognize voices, give advice on specialized topics, in addition to taking a tour of at least 20 minutes and transmitting information about the museum’s exhibitions on the screen.
Among the necessary functions of the robot is interactive interaction with museum visitors. This includes the ability to take photos, email them, and print them. Additionally, the device must be equipped with a scripting service to control gestures, facial expressions and movements, equipped with a user interface.
The supplier must deliver and install the robotic tour guide within 60 days from the contract date.
