To control the forest fund, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Chuvashia will purchase 14 drones within the framework of the federal project “Forest Conservation”, the press service of the authorities of the Chuvashia Republic reported on March 20.
This year, 11 modern unmanned aerial vehicles will be purchased. For these purposes, funds from the federal budget in the amount of 16.5 million rubles are allocated within the framework of the federal project “Stimulating demand for domestic unmanned aircraft systems.” And in 2025 it is planned to purchase another 3 drones for a total amount of 4.5 million rubles.
“Forest firefighting equipment and machinery are updated annually. “14 new drones and 10 existing video cameras will certainly be of great help in patrolling forests and identifying forest fires, including violators of fire regulations and forest legislation.”said the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Chuvashia, Emir Bedertdinov.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Chuvash continues to implement the federal project “Forest Conservation” of the national project “Ecology” in terms of equipping specialized forestry institutions with forest fire equipment and machinery.
Recall that the federal project “Forest Conservation” is being implemented within the framework of the State Program of the Russian Federation “Forest Development” and the national project “Ecology”.
The project aims to ensure a balance between forest clearance and reproduction in a ratio of 100% by 2024 and reduce damage caused by forest fires almost three times (from 32.3 billion rubles to 12 .5 billion rubles).
85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are involved in the implementation of the federal project “Forest Conservation”.
The implementation of federal project activities is carried out in several areas, including increasing the reforestation area, purchasing forest machinery and equipment, purchasing forest fire equipment and equipment, forming a forest seed reserve , as well as carrying out an inventory of the reforestation fund.
For the implementation of the federal project “Forest Conservation” 55,930.9 million rubles are allocated from the federal budget.
