The material damage caused to agriculture and infrastructure in the Philippines by the floods amounted to about 30 million dollars, as of January 31, reports the press service of the National Council for Risk Prevention and Elimination of Natural Disasters.
Since January 12, the agency has registered more than 9,290 displaced people in the country, who were located in 78 evacuation centers. At the same time, 14.3 thousand people left their homes early. In total, according to available data, the elements affected more than two million people.
43 people became victims of flooding, 11 residents of the country were injured, 8 people went missing.
Nearly fifteen hundred incidents occurred due to flooding, 1.9 thousand houses, 266 infrastructure facilities, 317 roads, 67 bridges were damaged. In several cities there were interruptions in the supply of water and electricity.
Hundreds of cities had to suspend training and business.
