Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has expressed hope that the international community will help prevent the normalization of repression in the South American country.
The announcement came Wednesday, hours after the Venezuelan regime detained Henry Alviarez and Diñora Hernández, members of its Vente Venezuela (VV) party, and issued arrest warrants for several collaborators.
“I want to ask the international community, which says it wants free and fair elections, which supports the Barbados Agreement. [firmado em outubro entre o Governo e a oposição] as well as political allies [Nicolás] Mature what are they going to do about it because what happened today [quarta-feira] This has never happened before in Venezuela,” he said.
