
Lithuanian authorities have resumed accepting heavy trucks from the Kaliningrad region, the press service of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation reported on March 21.
“The Lithuanian side has started accepting trucks”, the message said. It is stated that six trucks were received in an hour and a half.
During the time that truck acceptance was suspended, a queue of 140 vehicles formed.

It should be noted that on March 21, Lithuania stopped allowing heavy cargo from the Kaliningrad region. As a result, a queue formed in front of the Chernyshevskoye checkpoint.
According to the authorities of the Kaliningrad region, there was a failure in the information system at Lithuanian customs. This is what caused the current situation. At the same time, the Lithuanian authorities did not mention the reasons for the suspension of truck acceptance.
