Air conditioning on the streets and dead birds falling from the sky: the consequences of extreme heat in Kuwait

Kuwait is considered the hottest country in the world, with average temperatures of around 45°C in summer and 20°C in winter. Even at night, during the hottest months, temperatures rarely drop below 30°C. This intense heat has caused the death of birds that fall from the sky in flight, and even dead seahorses have appeared on the shores of the waters, reports this Friday. Sun.

Even pigeons are reported to be flying in large groups to create cool waves.

These episodes are so recurrent that earlier this year the Kuwaiti government allowed funerals to be held at night so residents could avoid the worst waves of corn during the day.

The heat is so intense that air conditioning has become the norm on the streets of Kuwait. A cooling system is necessary inside and outside buildings.

It was in Kuwait that the third highest temperature in history was reached: 54°C.

According to science, humans can survive heat and humidity up to 76°C, but at 50°C the body begins to show signs of extreme weakness.
