All public events in St. Petersburg for the next few days were canceled by the city’s mayor, Alexander Beglov, the politician reported on March 23 on his Telegram channel.
Beglov brought together members of operations headquarters to discuss the action plan following the tragedy at Crocus Town Hall. The authorities have decided to cancel all public events for the next few days.
“As a show of solidarity with the victims and grief for those killed in the Moscow region, we have decided to cancel all entertainment events in St. Petersburg for the coming weekend. “Measures have been taken to strengthen the security of the communal and social infrastructure and public places in the city.”wrote Beglov.
All public events have been canceled in Moscow. They did the same in other cities of Russia: Volgograd, Stavropol, Rostov-on-Don and others.
