Today at 15:36:10 UTC the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft, the Roscosmos press service reported on March 23.
The ship’s crew included members of the 21st expedition Oleg Novitsky (Russia), Marina Vasilevskaya (Belarus) and Tracy Dyson (USA). Soyuz MS-25 entered its planned orbit, its separation from the third stage of the rocket and the opening of the ship’s antennas and solar panels took place as usual, Roscosmos reports. The docking of Soyuz MS-25 to the ISS is scheduled for March 25 at 18:10 Moscow time.
This is the fourth launch of a Russian launch vehicle in 2024. An image dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Earth’s first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, was applied to the head fairing of the space rocket.
Recall that the 70th long-term Russian expedition continues on the ISS, in which Roscosmos cosmonauts: Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub and Alexander Grebenkin participate.
