The authorities of the Rostov region allocated in January more than 20 million rubles for the provision of state social assistance under social contracts to poor citizens, the press service of the governor of the region reports on January 31.
“327 social contracts have been signed. This will provide support to 1.1 thousand people. The funds are distributed among all the municipalities in the region”– indicated in the message.
In 2022, about a billion rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets to help citizens under social contracts. More than 7 thousand contracts were signed.
A social contract is an agreement between a low-income family and the social protection authorities of the population. It is a form of state support intended to help citizens find work, start their own business and develop their personal subsidiary plots. Thanks to this support, families who find themselves in a difficult life situation can improve their affairs. In the Rostov region, the practice of concluding social contracts began in 2013.
