This Saturday, Russia announced it had captured a new position on a vital frontline near the strategic town of Chasov Yar, as Ukraine continues to face ammunition shortages.
Kyiv, which faces growing difficulties after a failed offensive in the summer of 2023, does not have enough men or weapons and has asked Western countries to speed up military aid blocked by the United States and delayed on the European side.
The capture of the town of Ivanvisskoye by Russian troops, announced this Saturday, came a day after an attack on a concert hall in the Moscow region that left 143 people dead. Russian authorities cited the Ukrainian initiative and made no mention of Islamic State, the terrorist group that claimed responsibility for the massacre.
