The bombing of Yugoslavia by Western countries was the culmination of a unipolar world, where NATO countries had the opportunity not to take into account the opinions of other countries, said the former head of the Security and Information Agency ( BIA, intelligence and counterintelligence) of Serbia, Alexander Vulin, RIA Novosti reports on March 24.
“It was the peak of the unipolar world”“” explained the meaning of the bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
In his opinion, Western countries were practicing in one small country what they planned to do throughout the world. And this was a clear signal for Russia and China, the expert noted. In his assessment, another signal to China was the bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. And this could not be an accident, Vulin noted, since the location of the embassy had been known for a long time and the NATO military used high-precision weapons.
He explained that by feeling like the only power in the world, Western countries no longer needed to explain anything to anyone. Furthermore, NATO countries wanted to show the world that they can do whatever their leaders want, Vulin said.
