The Russian Investigative Committee has elevated 137 the number of deaths in it stroke on Friday against the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow, according to its latest report published this Sunday, as Emergency services are extracting lifeless bodies from the rubble of the venue, set on fire by the attackers.
“During the cleaning of the debris at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, the death toll as a result of the terrorist attack has risen to 137 people. To date, 62 bodies have been identified,” according to the committee’s message, published on his Telegram account.
The investigating agency has indicated that during the inspection of the scene of the attack no booby-trapped bodies were found nor other traces of mining. Furthermore, as reported yesterday, investigators have found two Saiga carbines, more than 500 cartridges and 28 magazines that the attackers left at the scene before fleeing.
What concerns to woundedRussia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has raised this Sunday to 152 the number of people affected by the attack. Of them, 105 remained hospitalized while another 32 people were receiving outpatient care. Likewise, at least 40 people had to undergo emergency surgery on the night of Friday to Saturday.

This Sunday, Russia began its official day of mourning. While all the country’s institutions and its diplomatic missions abroad have lowered flags to half-mast, the citizens of Moscow continue to lay flowers in the vicinity of the event center because the perimeter is cordoned off and patrolled by canine groups and members of the Russian National Guard while rescue services continue to clear debris from the building, destroyed by the fire caused by the assailants.
