Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev confidently defeated Hungarian Marton Fucsovics on March 24 in the second round of the Masters Series tournament in Miami, United States.
The fourth racket in the world, Medvedev, defeated Fucsovics (86th place in the ATP rankings) in two sets with a score of 6:4, 6:2. The match lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes.
During the match, Medvedev performed three aces, made three errors on the second serve and won three games on the opponent’s serve (three break points in total). Fucsovics has six serves to his name, not a single double fault and not a single converted break point of the two achieved.
Daniil Medvedev will fight with the British Cameron Norrie to reach the fourth round of prestigious competitions.
The Miami Masters Series tournament will be held on outdoor hard courts from March 20-31. The prize fund of the contest amounts to more than $8.9 million and the current champion of the contest is Daniil Medvedev.
