Police in the city of Vologda received 11 statements from victims over the past week for a total amount of damages of 3,250,844 rubles, the Russian Interior Ministry for Vologda reported on March 25.
“The youngest victim was a woman born in 2002. The girl allegedly received a call from employees of the employment center and was offered to earn money on the stock market. The Vologda resident believed those who called and asked for a loan for 155 thousand rubles; She allegedly transferred all the money to the exchange account. There were no funds in the platform’s personal account, then the girl realized that the scammers had called her and she transferred all the money to her accounts.”the department said.
A Vologda resident born in 1953 received two calls: supposedly an investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and supposedly a bank employee, who offered to help the woman “save” her money. The pensioner transferred 241 thousand rubles to them.
A resident of Vologda, born in 1984, got loans for scammers in two weeks. He sent the scammers the amount of four loans worth 2,182,000 rubles.
