Outgoing Prime Minister Antonio Costa will hold a news conference on Wednesday to take stock of his eight-year rule, an official source in his office said on Monday.
The information was transferred to journalists following the meeting of the last Council of Ministers of the XXIII Constitutional Government.
According to the same source, the time and place of the meeting with journalists has not yet been determined, but the outgoing prime minister is expected to take stock of his eight years in office and other questions may be asked.
At the end of this meeting, which took place at the premises of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos in Lisbon and was chaired by the President of the Republic, the outgoing Prime Minister and the Head of State jointly made several statements to the media.
They were expected to answer questions from journalists, and even a draw was made for the order in which they would be seated, but after these statements, António Costa and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa left the stage prepared for this purpose, and the Prime Minister accompanied the President of the Republic on the exit.
