Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina confidently defeated American Madison Keys on March 25 in the fourth round of the WTA-1000 tournament in Miami.
The fourth racket in the world, Rybakina, overcame the resistance of Keys (18th place in the WTA ranking) in 1 hour and 23 minutes by 6:3, 7:5.
During the match, Rybakina hit four aces, made one error on the second serve, and won three games on her opponent’s serve (eight break points in total). Keys has three serves to his name, not a single double fault and one break point converted from two wins.
In the quarterfinals of the prestigious competition Elena Rybakina will face Maria Sakkari from Greece.
The WTA 1000 Miami tournament takes place on outdoor hard courts from March 19-30. The prize fund of the contest amounts to more than $8.9 million and the current champion of the contest is Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic.
