The first Angara rocket in the history of the Vostochny cosmodrome was installed on the launch pad, the Roscosmos press service reported on March 26.
“Today at the Vostochny cosmodrome the first flying space rocket “Angara-A5″ was transported to the launch complex”says the message.
It should be noted that with the help of a transport and installation unit the rocket was delivered from the installation and test building and installed at the launch complex of site 1A.
The launch of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle with the Orion upper stage and payload is scheduled for April 6-10, 2024.
It should be noted that the infrastructure for launching Angara rockets at the Vostochny cosmodrome has been built since 2018. In total, three launches of the light rocket and three launches of the heavy Angara rocket have been carried out so far; all launches were carried out from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.
