The information transmitted by the United States about the preparation of a terrorist attack in Russia was of a general nature and the Russian special services responded to it, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said at a briefing on March 26.
“This information was of a general nature: about the preparation of terrorist acts in crowded places. “We responded to this information and of course took appropriate measures to prevent such demonstrations.”– he said.
Earlier, White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said the United States shared with Moscow information it received in March about the preparation of a terrorist attack in Moscow.
Recall that on March 22, 2024, a group of terrorists committed a terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, at the Crocus Seeley Hall concert hall. At the hands of the terrorists, 139 people died and about 360 were injured. Earlier, in his televised speech on the tragedy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that, according to preliminary data, the Ukrainian side was preparing a “window” for the perpetrators of the terrorist attack to cross the border.
